Welcome to bluesreviews.com, a great place where fans can catch up on what's happening in the world of blues music. Primarily we're providing reviews of new releases of blues music and interviews with blues musicians; as time permits we'll build out sections on blues history, the greatest blues recordings of all time, and other blues-culture expositions.

The tone and style of the reviews and features on our site fall somewhere between a free-for-all fanzine and snooty academic dissection of blues music. We think "fan to fan" when creating content. We claim no allegiance to any particular race, color, creed, region, label, promoter, distributor, "sound," artist, or instrument.

If there's one bias we do have, it's that we want independent releases to take priority, although major-label releases have their place and wil be covered on the site. But in general, we honor the indie label because that's what got the blues in our hands in the foist place, and it will be the indie labels that keep it going once the majors abandon it for a more lucrative flavor of the month.

Our writers go out to shows, and they know what they like when they hear it. That's all we ask of them. All we ask of you is that you have an open mind when you read what they have to say.
